Method 2: Log Out and Restart Discord

If the mic was working fine with the same internet and microphone and has just started acting up then this method might solve it for you. Here’s how to log out from Discord:

Step 1: Click on the wheel icon to open “User Settings“. The wheel icon can be found on the lower left-hand corner next to your profile name.

Another reason why you might be facing the Discord mic not working error is that the Automatic Input Sensitivity feature in the Discord’s settings might be disabled. Enabling the feature again may solve your problem.

Step 1: Access the User Settings menu by clicking on the wheel icon on the lower left end of the screen.

Method 7: Switch to Push To Talk

Another quick fix is to switch between the Input Methods. The default input method is Voice Activity. Head back into the Voice & Video settings and change input mode to Push to Talk.
